I was born in Los Angeles and have resided in Southern California all of my life. I graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in Highland Park. After High School I attended Pasadena Junior College for a year and a half and then entered into a five year apprenticeship with the Sprinkler Fitters Union, installing and repairing automatic fire sprinklers, fire pumps and related devices. Shortly after the purchase of my first home in Eagle Rock my wife and I both attended Lumbleau Real Estate School in Los Angeles in the late '70s, planning for a career in real estate. At the same time I was a foreman for a large fire sprinkler company here in Los Angeles and made the decision to hold off my real estate plans after moving on to a superintendent position. I formed Flashback, which has been rated as one of Southern California's No. 1 '50s bands. At that time I also joined the Screen Actors Guild and ended up in several films and TV shows, playing guitar and piano in some then doing mostly stand-in and background acting later on. I am a Past Master of South Pasadena Lodge, 290, F&AM, having joined Eagle Rock Lodge originally and moving to South Pasadena when our lodges consolidated. I am also a Past Associate Guardian of Bethel No. 96, International Order of Job's Daughters. My ties have always been to the area and I have been involved with real estate since the late '70s. |
